a Family tradition of Ranching
Arkansas Land & Cattle is built on three generations of ranching in Lake Village, Arkansas. Our story began when our grandparents moved from Texas and started raising cattle on the banks of Lake Chicot and the Mississippi River. Our ranch is truly a family effort— with brothers, cousins, our father, and uncle all working side by side to continue the tradition.

We raise predominantly Black Angus cross cattle, carefully selecting registered Black Angus bulls for marbling, tenderness, and superior meat quality. Over the years our family has worked to build genetics that consistently produce beef with exceptional flavor and consistency.
stewardship of the land
Ranching has always gone hand in hand with caring for the land. Our great-grandfather donated part of our original pasture to the State of Arkansas so the community could benefit from an improved and paved road — land that is now the local state park. Today, we continue that legacy by practicing sustainable grazing and crop rotation. In winter, we convert around 1,000 acres to wheat pasture, giving our cattle nearly year-round forage while protecting and improving our soil.

Our cattle spend most of their lives on pasture, grazing freely and handled with care through humane practices that minimize stress and promote health. To create the rich marbling and flavor our beef is known for, cattle are finished on a free-choice grain rotation for 100 days. That grain isn’t just purchased — it is grown by our family on our land, ensuring complete control over quality and consistency from pasture to plate.
